New stability software, in the browser

    Hi everyone. I've been working on this for the last few weeks and it's now almost ready to go. It's a stability software that runs in your browser, so you just open a website, choose your offsets file and it generates a righting moments curve, as well as gives all the usual properties (prismatic coefficient, block coefficient, etc...) at each heel angle. Of course it solves for correct trim and displacement given the input LCG and displacement.

    How can I create the OFE file? I am using Delftship Professional.

    Another me too on the OFE file. I'm old fashioned and have a series of spreadsheets along with some code that resolve variables. I need to know how to build out an OFE file ( format and meta data) in order to plug into this tool. Hard to tell how useful it is or provide feedback for you without that little piece of info,

    Hi, I use an old version of MultiSurf to design my hulls, and it can export a .OFE file, which is basically a table of offsets.

    The file format is as follows :

    1671 Made by MSURF from model SHIP4 12-Feb-2017 15:30:25
    42 0
    -87.5 5
    247.8 0.0
    300.4 6.7
    300.6 4.8
    300.7 2.9
    300.8 0.0
    0.0 38
    4.6 0.0
    16.5 6.8
    30.4 11.3
    145.2 41.8
    286.2 57.7
    293.0 58.4
    293.2 56.6
    ....

    The first line is not used AFAICT
    The second line is the total number of stations followed by I'm not really sure what.
    The third line is the X location of the first station, followed by the number of points it contains. Then the next 5 lines are the Y and Z coordinates of each point.

    The following line indicates the start of the next station, and so on...

    Let me know if I could make a converter from one format or another to .ofe. I think an offsets table type of file would be easiest to convert programatically.

    Hi, I just wanted to let you know that STL file import is now live on HYDRO, so that you can export your design from most software and use Hydro to get all the hydrostatic data you need !
