The Yanmar YSM12 in my 28 ft sailboat is a thing of beauty.

One cylinder simplicity and the vibration/noise is no big deal (Solid mounts =more simplicity).

I have my eye on a 36 ft boat (bigger sister to existing).

Can a Changfa 20 to 30 hp big single be marinized?

    I have a spare transmission Kanzaki. 2:1.

Has anybody put a Changfa in a boat?

And where can one be had in North America?

    Much Obliged

Any engine can be marinized. Many companies make replacement heat exchangers, raw water pumps are no problem, and if necessary, a wet exhaust manifold can be custom made. Alibaba.com sells Changfa engines, I wonder if they're legal here.
