    Hi there!
Mi name is Marc and I live in Sydney Australia. i want to sell my ski boat and buy a slower little cruiser to go out on the Hawkesbury river and occasionally out the heads in the sea when the weather is fine.
My requirements are rather basic. A fully enclosed lockable cabin with a head and galley and a couple of beds.
25' to 30' long, draft under 3', shaft diesel, no sail or masts and cruising speed 12-15 knots.
Initially i liked the Albin 25 made in Sweden but it is way too slow. We have tidal currents of 2 and even 3 knots sometimes so a slow vessel can be a pain.
Then i looked at the Albin 28. Love it even when it is a bit pricey, but the draft is a bit too much at one meter. I need to be able to come back home at low tide and 2' to 3' is the ideal.
So do you think you know a cruiser that would fit this description ... possibly at under $50k?
I will be buying in the US and importing it. Done it before and worked OK.
Our local market is priced at about twice your prices and the choices are very limited.
    Your help is appreciated.
    Marc

That is a high cruising speed you are seeking.

The possibilities seem to be, a semi-displacement hull, a light planing boat with shallow deadrise, or a displacement cat, but that would need outboards.
