Thanks for posting the photos Angelique, these small trailable cats are unique in offering that wonderful island berth. Most larger boats, even cats just don't have the right configuration to allow this and believe me its a great option. Most boats have either muzzle loader berths such as vee berths and quarter berths where you have to crawl in from the end which are awkward to use in a double but at least one person can go to the bathroom during the night without their partner having to move or side loaders such as settee berths. I have a Gemini cat that has a queen size berth on the bridge deck which is a side loader which is very difficult to make up. With an island berth it is accessible from both side just like at home so very civilized. There are other designs for this type of small, light trailable cats from designers such as Mike Waller and others and they have a lot to offer.
