I am a design student I am designing a small dinghy as my final project.
For my research I now need some typical market data such as UK (and world maybe!) market size, number of boats sold, top selling models and prices, etc.
Do you know where can I find all these information?

    Cheers.

In the USA those kinds of statistics are available from the National Marine Manufacturers Assoc (NMMA) their web site is www.nmma.org. They would also know who their overseas counterparts are. They all belong to an organization called ICOMIA, International Council of Marine Industry Associations. http://www.icomia.com/. In Britian it's the British Marine Federation http://www.britishmarine.co.uk/

Without knowing numbers or figures, I would imagine that inflatable sales are much more than traditional timber and fibreglass dinghys. I wonder if it is possible to break down between construction methods as well?
