Tohatsu 70 blow bubble at idle

    Hi there, newbie here. Have a small problem with my tohatsu outboard 70 HP motor. When it is in idle it blows a lot of big bubble below the water level. Is some filter blocked? Hope some of you has experience can give some advice. Motor is near new serviced regularly

    Your vital check is the water pump telltale (stream). I check mine on all starts; after awhile, it becomes habit. If the water pump impellers have failed or you get a blockage in the system; the water stream drips or stops. If so, stop and debug up to replacement of impellers to avoid overheat and engine damage.

    If you weren’t aware the bubbles are exhaust; figured it’d be good to inform; at the risk of patronizing.
