    Might be slightly off topic but I believe the replica of the Mathew out of Plymouth(?) originally had a whipstaff or I think she did last time I saw her.

    The spare whipstaff can be seen in the bottom picture, hanging on the beams of the upper deck, where the sign also hangs.
