Rohingya boat design

    Does anyone know anything about the design and construction of those most interesting boats?
    They have a very high bow and stern stem.. almost cartoon looking..

    You mean one of these? If so, they're about the best thing you can use to drown folks, even if not especially overloaded. They're hideously designed and even more poorly built. Designed is a relative term on these, as they're just slapped together to a builder's eye and nothing resembling any understanding of real design.

    Yes, this is very odd and not especially practical or sea worthy either.

    Thats what I thought.. but very interesting build I'd bet.. Ive seen several of them in the news evacuating refuges,, so there are lots of them.. all pretty much look the same.. and same size.. I'd sure like to learn more about them...
