Fast displacement with surface drives

    For obvious reasons I'd still prefer shaft drive. But too deep...

    Would an "Atkins tunnel":
    - Work up to 22 - 25 knots?
    - Be possible with twin engines?
    - Provide reasonable astern manoeuvring?

    I could consider single engine, with stern thruster. But that would require a larger (deeper) prop...

    Still very curious if a modern 24 meter "Atkins tunnel hull" could decently reach 22 to 25 knots?

    Anyone??

    Nothing yet, will be custom designed. But I want to be prepared when we step to a design studio.
    The current yacht is just a heavy beamy deep V.

    Hull shapes below are interesting. But need something more shallow instead of regular shaft drive...? No jets though
