Can anybody help with finding a copy of this paper:

Fekete, G., and Newmann, G., “Design and Testing of a Sailboat with Self-Trimming Wingsail,” Canadian Aeronautics and Space Journal, Vol. 29, No. 2, June 1983, pp. 121–130.

I found this video of a wing sail developed by László Fekete.

I don't know if G. I. & László are the same person, if they are related, or if this just a coincidence, but it looks like an interesting wing anyway.

Sorry about that! I guess it proves the old saying that you get what you pay for when you hire free labor.

Can you share anything about your plans or experiences with wingsails?

    You are correct, my fault.
You have to click on the big PDF icon at the left side of the page.

No experience with wingsails but a desire to sail without ropes. Have started a 'maker' project with plans here:

    www.redradish.co.nz/solid-wing-sail-sketchup-top-level

Currently trying to decide whether to have an active tail plane or use a servo to control wing angle of attack, hence interest in Fekete's experience.
