Hi, im a student trying to make an autonomous boat for the sea. Im just wondering if anyone has any design ideas as I don't know much about boats. I see people using a stabilizer going down a foot or so I'm not sure if that is the best way to go not. Its going to need to fit solar panels on top and all the computer software inside also I'm not looking to make it very big so it obviously needs to be extremely sturdy. If anyone has a suggestion that would be appreciated. Thanks.

    BlueBell . . . _ _ _ . . . _ _ _

Make a small autonomous submarine with cabling to surface solar panels.
What is the boat going to do?
    What is it's mission?
    Budget?
    Where in Canada?

some more specifications would really help. Length, local, capacity, power, range etc
check out the latest TV news about the UBC autonomous boat that was recently found after being lost months at sea,

I would like to take sea temperatures and air temps and its more just for a challenge, we are in Nova Scotia. budget depends on if we get the solar panels donated or not. But probably no more than 500 if we can get the solar donated because that is the most expensive part. Length would probably be 6-10 feet we would like to get it across the Atlantic Ocean and hopefully back.

something like this, but I do not know how I would build that, foam and fibreglass or a mold, I'm not sure of the process. if anyone know that would be great.
