Hi, this is my first post here and i'm a novice at ship design so please bear with me. :)

I am building a didi mk3 from dixdesigns. I think it's an overall nice boat not the fastest but it can move forward if it needs to. I'm building the version with the canting keel and all of a sudden i saw the design of the new figaro 3. So i'm thinking of adding the type of foils the figaro has to the didi mk3 design. This would take two flies in one stroke as i don't need daggerboards for upwind sailing and could add stability and lift for faster sailing. Also the placement of the holes in the hull is very nice for an ocean-going boat.

Do you think this would be a nice addition and how would i calculate the size and place of these foils.
In my mind the scow bow mini's are very nice but the addition of foils would make the scow bow somewhat less usefull and a normal bow would be overall more comfortable and just as fast with foils in the equation. Or am i very wrong about this?

I think you'd need professional advice. You'd increase righting moment, which is going to increase loads on the rig and hull.
