Hi all, I'm new here so I'm not sure if this is the right area but I am desperately looking for the plans for the Cross 36 trimaran and I am running into brick walls at every turn. If anyone knows where I could obtain a set of these plans from I would be extremely grateful. Thanks in advance.

The guy who use to sell the plans for Cross's widow seems to have dropped off the face of the earth.

You could search thru this forum and also woodenboat forum for previous efforts.

Thanks for the advice, I've looked around on here until my eyes were sore :p there was a guy who said that he had a set of Cross 36 plans but that post was years ago and I haven't heard from him yet. I'm starting to think they may be lost forever :(

This could be a good starting point for an expert to make a complete collection of plans.

I was looking for a Cross 18 set of plans - but could never make a connection.

TANSL - is that a set of study plans?

Just drawings found in internet, in a search of one minute, but I am convinced that an expert designer can develop a complete project from this information.

Yes but would it match a boat in hand?
I couldn't even make out the name of the boat in your images.

Sorry, I do not understand this expression.
I'm not saying it's an easy task. It is enough to be able to copy the lines, to make a model of the boat that, sure, is not exactly equal to the original, but the differences will not be appreciable. Anyway, one would have to try to obtain a better information.

The "boat in hand" means a boat that already exists and is yours to use.

Thanks for the help guys, TANSL I appreciate the effort but unfortunately I thought about that and my problem is that I can't find study plans drawn to scale that an architect can use to render new drawings from. As both of y'all are senior members might I ask if either of you know a guy with the username DarthCluin, he said that he had a set of construction details for a cross 30 and I was wondering if y'all knew how to contact him.

So the admiral has asked me to modify my previous request and says that she wants to start smaller and do some Caribbean cruising to start with and see if she likes it :p so now I am obliged to see if anyone has plans for the Cross 30 (it's a long shot I know) or at least the construction sheets for the LAR keel used on the Norm Cross designs. I'd also like to know if anyone has experience with the Piver Nimble or Herald designs that wouldn't mind sharing their knowledge. Thanks in advance for any information.

    I don't know DarthCluin.

Oldsailor7 has talked about the Piver Nimble before.
I think Piver drawings are available - I just don't remember where.

I'll look him up thanks :D
The Mariners Museum in VA has the plans and they are super nice and really helpful but they only have a few of them available as the originals are in Deep Storage according to the guy in the archives department but he said they digitized the more popular ones so its just a matter of finding out which ones have been digitized. :p however I heard that the LAR keel from the Norm Cross designs mated to a Piver boat is freaking awesome and was wondering if anyone has heard of this or done it.
