    WTF?

    One retired USN officer blames all the new PC training and lack of actual seamanship training.

    Others suggest its Chinese hack of nav systems.

    Other suggest its Obama appointed rogues working for N Korea.

    I'm suggesting its guys playing chicken with commercial freighters either for innocent fun or because of some overbearing "cops of the seas" mentality.

    Don't they roll video 24/7 on USN bridges?

    Bad look for anyone in authority to be blaming hackers, Chinese or otherwise, ahead of a thorough investigation, I'd say. The Straits of Malacca are thick with ship traffic, so not hard to hit something.
