At 18,000 feet it won't become a target for scrap metal salvage like a number of warships sunk in the relatively shallow waters around Indonesia during the war. I think one or both of the British battleships sunk off Malaya by Japanese planes, has attracted such attention, and smaller ships further south, of US, Dutch and Australian origin all but vanished from the seafloor, as they were cut up for scrap from their shallow water graves, not long after the co-ordinates were divulged, after the wrecks were found relatively recently. A Dutch ship that arrived to place a memorial plaque on their lost ship, found not much more than litter on the sea-bed.
