electric motor outboard conversion

    So you got UPS batteries. They are designed to discharge quickly and are very sensitive to over or undercharging as well as DOD due to the low level of electrolyte. They also have high internal resistance and are not designed for frecvent cycling. But at that price I suppose it does not matter how quickly you kill them.

    Do you know how much power your boat actually needs?

    We are in Saint Pete and have two boats with old outboards that we want someone like Archangl7 to help convert to electric. They are to replace 50 horsepower gas Honda and Mercury outboards ... one is 30' sail cruising catamaran and the other a 14' mahogany restoration runabout ready for 1957 mercury conversion keeping the old classic casing like this youtube video

    please reach out to us to work on project local resources in Pinellas county ok?
    We are able to do the fabrication of mounts etc with heavy duty plastics from Farco and Fiberglass Coatings suppliers in pinellas park but need help with the electric motor for super strong torque.
