    Position Summary:

    The Propeller Engineering team within Drives and Propulsion Engineering Department at Mercury Marine is seeking a Propeller Design Engineer to design and develop propellers for Mercury Outboards, Mercruiser Sterndrive engines, and Mercury high-speed diesel marine engines. The candidate would be responsible for propeller design and development, updating design methodology, and creating design tools. Come and join our team into this newly created position.

    Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Design and develop propeller geometry
    • Acquire prototype hardware
    • Develop test procedures to evaluate propeller performance/durability
    • Evaluate propeller performance/durability
    • Create technical reports of design and test results
    • Develop design standards to guide future project work
    Required Qualifications:

    • Minimum B.S Degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
    • 8-10 years engineering experience working with propeller design for recreational marine applications
    • A strong working knowledge of aerodynamic or hydrodynamic theory
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    Preferred Qualifications:

    • M.S. Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Marine Engineering, or Naval Architecture
    • 10+ years engineering experience working with propeller design for recreational marine applications
    Familiarity with propeller modelling tools using CFD or FEA
