Can anybody tell me how I could find out wood weights?

like for example white wood pine 2x4x8 or how much per foot

    1x4, 1x2 ect...

and ply like a sheet of 1/4,3/8,1/2 ect...I am trying to calculate a ball park figure of the weight of a current boat project I am working on based on the amount of wood and fasteners, coatings, and so fourth I have used on it so far...it would be helpful to know this as I work on getting a trailer for the boat soon...

I know some pieces are dryer and wetter and lighter and heavier respectively but just averages would be good...

    any direction is greatly appreciated...

    TIA

The weight of pine is about 550 kg per square meter and 450 kg for plywood

Relative density of 0.45 to 0.55 is normal.
    Water is 1.0.

You may want to know the density in pounds per cubic foot?
Try a search on som gov.us sites :)

    Here are some examples,
    Pine, White, dry 0.42 26
Pine, Yellow Northern, dry 0.54 34
Pine, Yellow Southern, dry 0.72 45

    The last number is lbs/cbf.

    1x4 would be 1/12 * 4/12 = 1/36 or approx 1lbs/foot.

    9.45 lbs for doug fir
from 6.375 lbs to 10.2 lbs depending on the species of pine and moisture content
    calculations were made assuming a finished lumber ie 1.5 x 3.5 x 96" (504 cu in) (1 cu ft is 1728)
