    I guess that's as close as you'll ever get to "I was wrong".

    Kevin Ellway put together an animation of a Moth pitch pole. Absolutely nothing to do with "downforce" or the flap coming up too far.

    Moth on Foils! Flap Authority

    The set-up Ellway illustrated sure didn't use the full flap authority that should be possible with a foil like that. Maybe that is what is being illustrated.
