Hello all, this regarding Cooper Seabirds, wondering if any owners are still about here and if so, your impressions of the Cooper Seabird thus far.

Im looking about, perhaps at one of your boats, who knows :) and wanting to know, with the shallow draft and long keel, how she is going to weather and tacking through.

Does the shallow draft actually payoff in terms of increasing anchoring options in places like Sucia?

As well, how she fits (from a cruising perspective, life on board, anchoring, motoring through stiff current, fuel consumption, etc) with regard to motoring through places like the Gulf islands during the summer doldrums.

Also, how she performs under sail up and down the Georgia strait?

Is that center cockpit comfortable, particularly in the weather we have now (rainy March 2017)?

Looking to extend my sailing season without going the Fisher / Nautical route.

Thank-you Joseph T! I have read that post thread and was hoping to gain an update from those owners, of their expe from then to now, if any boat mods had been made and just general usage commentary.

Talked with one owner (AGENT) who has been to Hawaii and back with their Seabird, pointing never an issues for them. It is a cutter ketch sail plan with small bow sprit. Wondering if the windward pointing issue may be limited to the sloop sail plan.....
