Hi all,

Kiteflying light air is of course an issue. However foilite developements and foil single skins look very promising.

We are in research about the main issue, landing and launching at sea. Of course for every problem is a solution.

From paragliding world we know that their kites fly in 4 knot of wind.

And Did you know that;
In low wind with longer lines, and you go downwind, you can actually fly your kite fast and feel breeze on board?
Those are the possibilities of a flying sail, which is very interesting.

Hope you guys can give some more input. Just discovered this threat. So sorry if I have been reacting late.

The results with these foils on that boat may be something to check out for Peter, if not done already . .

 

Thanks, Angel. On a mono like the Figaro, that foil is not anywhere near as good as a well designed DSS foil from the standpoint of extra RM as well as from the standpoint of docking--where the DSS foil can be designed to fully retract. It might work well with a kite?
