    Hi All

Ran across this video of a guy towing a 20' cruiser from his home to the water with a unicycle.

I'd love to see any info or pics on how he built it, the unicycle I mean, or any other links to material on moving boats without a vehicle/trailer.

It isn't really a unicycle, it's a chain drive hooked up to the front wheel of the trailer. My guess is it's just a gear system scavenged from a bike.

I thought so too at first, but if you look closely you'll see that there's no trailer, just an axle strapped under the boat and the drive system attached to the bow with nothing running between them.
good system if you want to store the trailer in the boat so you have it on the other side.

It's Sven Yrvind, sometimes he responds through his website on one of our discussions here . . :)

And if we put questions on the Yrvind thread directly to him then he often also answeres through his website, as he chooses not to be a member here . .

Very nice guy, and also very innovative, and always sailing or boat building, this is also the link where we sometimes have communications with him . .

Alas his forum thread here has become a bit quiet lately . .
