HnH will begin construction on plan b shortly, so the sponson plan is out. They are also widening an older model at the same time, so I will tour the factory during that process and hopefully gain a bit of knowledge. I knew it could be done. Thanks for all the feedback.

Good choice. H&H is a quality builder. Owns all the Osmand Beal designs available and is a slippery hull. Assuming your going with the 35 X 12-8? What is the lead time at his shop? Most Maine builders are 18 to 24 months out on start up. Have you heard of http://downeastboatforum.com/. Huge resource of information on Downeast boats and builders.

The kit, which is hull, cabin, shaft, and rudder, will be done july/aug. Once it gets here we will cut the cabin below the windshield and move it forward to where the trunk starts, and put a deck on it.

Nice. I am doing the same thing as you are (kit). Weather permitting I should get the hull delivered in a couple of weeks. Have you decided on power yet?
