combining Vinyl Ester and Polyester resin

    I think it's probably not good to mix the two resins together but I have a small amount of vinyl ester and am wondering if it's ok to lay some fiberglass with the vinyl ester and another joining layer with polyester? Laminating a mold.

    You can blend them, it's not a problem.

    You can blend the liquid polyester and vinylester resins? Any caveats?

    Yes, they can be mixed together, you can buy blends of the two.

    Spblendid today's layup; Brown Vinyl and blue iso polyester. Works fine. The iso-spray poly is thinner than the older vinyl which is a good thing for me, but maybe the spray iso-poly on it's own is going to be a little bit runny.
