painting hull

    Hey everyone im building a bass boat using one off construction going to use duracore and fiberglass now i know gelcoat is used as the paint color when you use a mold but this is not the case what type of paint do i use and can anyone give me any information on where to buy it.

    You can spray gelcoat just like paint. There are a couple of different solvents formulated for that use. Ask your supplier for compatibility.

    Would that be flowcoat that you mean or is it still gelcoat with polystyrene in it Gonzo?

    It is regular gelcoat with a solvent. I believe it is called duracote. The gougeon bros. website has information on how to use it. It is not polysterene.
