Climate change definitely shrinks or grows glaciers.

Man is not the cause of climate change.

Glaciers have come and gone for eons. When the ice sheet slides over NYC please don't annoy me about it.

Man Made Global Warming, as promoted by the IPCC

This is an explanation by Brendan Godwin & the best that I have read, so far!

    Short Extract:

At one of our recent ANARE Midwinter Dinner MWD reunions I caught up with and spoke to a colleague who spent many years working at the (Australian) Bureau Of Meterology BOM as a weather observer and forecaster both in Antarctica and Australia. This person is outside of the realm of politics and wishes to remain anonymous. The person’s last job was working on these temperature adjustments. The job of this person’s team was to adjust the temperatures upwards so has been working on adjustments from 1990 until the present.

I asked, why was BOM making these adjustments and it was explained to me this way.

When there are temperature observational points located in the Central Business District area of large cities where there are tall buildings, it has been well known to the BOM and generally, that these temperatures would be half to one and a half degrees C cooler if the tall building and the city wasn’t there. It is a phenomenon known as “the Heat Island Effect”. It is the same as when, on a cold day, the hairs on your arm stand up and that insulates a warm layer of air close to the skin. Tall buildings do the same thing. Additionally, these tall buildings are heated and air conditioned and every time people walk in and out of the building, hot or cold air blows out altering the ambient street temperatures.

But the anomaly in what this person is saying here, is that this person’s team is adjusting country temperatures upwards by half to one and a half degrees C so that they match the city temperatures. That’s creating about a degree C of warming, whereas if they had adjusted the city temperatures down half to one and a half degrees C, they’d be creating approximately a half a degree of cooling.

& that gentle readers, is how it's done. The IPCC is political & not concerned with reality. Only mugs would continue to believe in this green religion.

I wouldn't be too quick to leap to conclusions based solely on this article.

First of all, the article is ONLY about how certain temperature records in Australia have been adjusted to increase their accuracy (or not, depending on your point of view). This correction process is called homogenization, which has to be done to virtually all raw temperature records. The article is NOT a critique of the total world scientific temperature recording and interpretation methodology (though some are trying to make it so).

Second, the article has been published for only one day and already there is a brisk discussion following the article about the accuracy of the author's facts and analysis. The comments by NICK STOKES appear to me to be the most knowledgeable and authoritative of those rebutting the author's points. I suspect in the next few weeks there will be other critiques of this blog by AGW apologists.

With the WUWT site being so biased and partisan, only chumps would take much of what they post as truth.

Denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance are all parts of the framework that enables snowflakes to learn to live without their candidate who LOST. You are probably at the anger stage of the grieving process.;)

Weather buoy near North Pole hits melting point | Washington Post

As predicted a few days ago, temperatures at the North Pole did reach freezing on Thursday. Totally weird :!:

I'm am VERY concerned about a man elected our president who doesn't read,...not a very good sign of real intelligence. And then he chooses to be surrounded by others who seem quick to reply too quickly (not given sufficient thought) to developing subjects, be it science, or international politics.

Give me a man who reads and thinks things out, not an off-the-cuff adlib.

Visualizing the Invisible Drivers of Climate Change | New York Times

A 3-D visualization of carbon gas in the atmosphere using data from NASA’s Orbiting Carbon Observatory-2 satellite.

During spring and summer, trees with freshly grown leaves remove carbon dioxide through photosynthesis. But not all of the carbon dioxide gets sucked up, and the leftovers continue to contribute to global warming.
