1995 Seadoo HX - Stalls at high speed

    Hoping someone can help. We have a 1995 Seadoo HX 720cc. About 10 seconds of max throttle it quits but instantly restarts and will idle no problem but will quite again and again each time max throttle is used. While inspecting why and at first believing it was Carburetor related I found a cable which comes out of the front lower right side of the rotary motor and connects to the rear of the dual Carb setup is broke off. I can's find it in the parts catalog and not sure what it controls or how to replace it. Any idea's will be welcome.
    It would seem that maybe my problem is an oil control cable which goes from the rear carb to the oil pump hidden way down under the carb's. It would appear that I have to remove the carb's to get at the oil pump and cable end.

    Get the repair manual for this engine/drive setup and run through the diagnostics. I'm not sure what the cable might be, but a quick look through the book would likely reveal its purpose.

    Thank You PAR for the reply. It would appear that the cable in question is the control cable from the oil pump of the Oil injection system to the Carburetor to sync the flow with amount of throttle being used.

    So your engine didn't get enough oil for the higher RPM... Which made the engine stall... I would really look into engine damage.
