    From Jack Griffin's Cup Experience:

    Q: How many development boats can the teams build?

    A: Back in February, I replied that they are limited to three. Since then I learned that the Protocol has been amended (again) and now there is no limit. Cost containment anyone? Oracle has built three and sold one to SoftBank Team Japan. Artemis has built two. Land Rover BAR has built three (although "T1" is a standard AC45 platform) and are rumoured to have a fourth in the works. Groupama Team France plans to launch their only development boat in July, and then use most of the components for their AC Class race boat, changing out just the hulls. Team New Zealand is using a modified AC45 platform on loan from Luna Rossa

    Some have suggested that the mainfoil in this picture is bending, not canted. But what would the force be to push the foil to this angle? The force caused by lateral resistance would push the vertical portion of the foil the other way.
    If its canted I can see where that would be done to move the center of vertical lift further outboard to increase the righting arm(and RM). But I can't see it bent to this angle.

    This is an interesting development from TNZ-they've added stern extensions(rudder gantries) like a Moth(or R Class or I14) to increase the "footprint" of their 45 test boat to the same as an AC 50(49.2/15m) :

    Or else they could have fitted a starboard dagger in the port hull to experiment.

    Could be possible, I guess. But I'm not sure the rules allow the increase in beam that would result?
