    That article is awful. First off he needs to learn the language he is using to write. Then he might find some nuance in the event he has just witnessed, seeing as he is probably mostly speaking to sailors.

    Seems to me the foil angle of attack would be the same regardless of the foiling platform attitude. As would angle of incidence(red below) relative to the flight waterline:
    Note: on many foilers the static and flight waterlines are parallel(after takeoff)-not on the nosedown AC45 so the flight waterline is the better reference.

    This is a rough sketch I did to illustrate the relationship of the foils to the platform between a "normal" foiling cat and an AC cat foiling nosedown:

    You're welcome! Maybe one design-as far as it goes for 35- isn't such a bad idea as I originally thought.....
