Rudder stock for supported type

    Hi Guys ,

    could anyone suggest to me a company or a tips for a rudder stock for a supported on keel ? I have doubts about the bottom bearing.
    The lenght of the boat is 50 ft thank you so much in advance.

    There are several companies that could help as well as design firms, though you'll need to provide a lot more information. Typically, the make, model and year would be a start, plus any special attributes, such as keel/rudder types that might have been offered on that particular model and a more defined explanation about your heel fitting doubts.

    Hi PAR , the boat is a simple canalboat with a symmetrical divergent airfoil (fish tail ) section for the rudder.The material of the boat is Midsteel and the hull is entirely flat on bottom.It is a preliminary design.

    Post lines or photos, as your description isn't especially effective, possibly a translation issue.

    Usually you can buy rudder stock from any company that sells shafts. For short pieces, like what you seem to need, sometimes cut-offs are available at a discount. You can also buy a broken shaft and use the middle.
