At the search of a free VPP...

    Hello,

    I'm searching a free VPP. Maybe i'm a dreamer, but I have to finish a project for my studies and i need to use a vpp for a 60 footers. The only software i found, councerned smaller boat.

    This is not a vpp, only a part of it it ll give u only the drag part of the hull. The other parts will be lift of appendages, lift and drag of sails.

    I am trying to develop one.

    The values of drag found in the spreadsheet are very similar to towing tank test results.

    Low cost VPP

    It's not free, but at about $900 our SPAN program is one of the most cost effective VPPs around. It is a full Windows based program, is based on the published IMS algorithms, and accepts either a Maxsurf hull surface model (easiest), values from the IMS LPP or values from an IMS certificate.
