    Hi Gang,

I am missing my copy of Tennant's construction booklet called "Steel Mould" layup procedure. It is referenced on my plans and I need to build a new daggerboard. I have all the dimensions for the board and mould.

Can someone provide an electronic or possibly even a hard copy?

    Sincerely,
    paxfish

Don't be in a hurry, Tony can take a long time getting back.

Granted the business will eventually dry off so perhaps they check less often now. I will be talking with Tony Monday morning so will pass on that you have emailed the design office for information.

Hi Pax, I have an old GBE construction manual. PM me an email addy and I'll send you the appropriate section. One issue, there is a lot of variation in boards built with this method and the cases are molded over the boards, so there is a chance that if you build new a board using the original method it may not fit the existing case - which would be arse. If you still have the original board you might find it less hassle to have it 3d scanned, a foam blank cnc'd from it and glass/carbon it up to suit. Any good CNC shop could do this for you.

Thanks yeah. I looked into it. $2500 to set up the machine and crank them out. I do have the original boards and plans, and am looking forward building new ones.....

That seems a lot. It cost me $500 to get my daggerboard done, although I supplied the wood blank (my boat is SO hi-tech).

Jamez - I sent you my contact info via PM. I'd be interested to hear about your daggerboard as well.

    Thanks, Chris
