Ok, Many thanks for all your help and i'm sure we'll speak again. By the way i was told it had the 1600 crossflow in it but previous owner was fitting a 3.5 v8.
I thought i might need a new impeller.

    Cheers

That makes sense 1600 had three blades too ,only V8 had 4. The number of volutes in the stator was different too 5 for 3 blade 7 for 4 blade.

A 4 blade impeller was always matched to a 7 blade stator from the factory ,but I suppose it depends how fussy you are.

That is not a PP65 but the internals look close enough that for rebuild and maintenance purposes you should treat it as one. If used sensibly only bearings and seals wear on these and they are easily and cheaply sourced at your local motor factors ,be sure to fit a large anode somewhere on the casing.Scoring on the wear ring is not normally cause for replacement, aluminium oxide under it causing distortion can be ,as it can be difficult to remove without destroying it.A photo of the front bearing would be helpful,to confirm that they have copied the 65 here as well.

Can you please explain more on the anode and what it is for?

Simply put a sacrificial anode is just a piece of metal which is designed to erode at a quicker rate than the aluminium casing of your jet.Your casing will probably be LM6 aluminium ,which is prone to corrosion particularly in seawater the anode protects it electrically. Google MG DUFF for a fuller explanation, there you will learn which type of anode you need for the conditions you are using the boat in.More stators are lost to corrosion than any othe reason. The pp65 came with an anode as standard ,I can't see one on your jet from the photos.

Yes, i have seen the anodes but wasn't sure what they were for. I don't think there is one on there. I will have a read of that, thanks.

I have two Super Simms V Speedboats one Jet Boat and the other Outboard. The Jet Boat is my later addition took it out but although engine started and revved there was no propulsion. Looking at the threads it seems it could be problem with the Cowl Linkage not attached to the Throttle Control adjacent to drivers seat.
I have disconnected at Cowl End but there is no movement when throttle moved back and forward. Has anyone any information on replacing the Cable or removing the Throttle body and how it attaches at throttle end? How do you adjust at the Cowl End ?

My Jet Unit looks to be the same as the old thread and pictures of George 01 of 31st July 2010. Also one member said they had a pdf manual for PP65 and would upload it. Is it still available?

Has anyone a manual for the PP65 Jet Propulsion Unit; Can anyone help in the process for replacing the cable that links the throttle in the cockpit to the cowl which lifts up and down on the Jet Unit; my unit is the same as the photos.

Agreed. Also I would suggest avoid eBay for your boat parts. It's better to get a refurbished part from a proper dealer. If something goes wrong, the transaction can really be a drag on your time.
