design procedure of Boat

This morning, I came up with an idea that is to design a speed boat. But, I don't know how to start.
I mean , design procedure or mother ship, etc..

 

A mother ship that gives birth to new little baby boats ? Sorry, could not resist being a (not very good) comedian. Tell us about your idea.

 

So, how should I start? I just done designing of general cargo ship. However, designing of speed boat is unusual to me. Sorry for my poor English.

I am a fresh graduated. Just doing my field as practice.

 

I am surprised you could graduate with the competence to design a general cargo ship, but don't know where to start with a little 'speed boat" . How did that happen ?

 

Hak hak, because I have seen speed boats only in movie, but general cargo ship is familiar with me.
what type of propulsion?
Which rule covers?
Is stability calculation the same as other ships?

 

I am still amazed ! Of course you have to consider dynamic lift, as it is a planing hull.

How about buying a Glen - L design and go from there.
I want to make a money making machine, and got nowhere.
