Chooks aside Gary, considering the novel design of the boat, why don't you call It "Luna Tiki". ;)

    LOL

    Pay that!!

    Or how about "675"

Although, "Sea, Set, Sank" is perhaps not the most auspicious name for an experimental tri.

    ;)

    How about Tor Teke?
I first heard that expression years ago when working in the Parnell wool stores with wharfie seagull mates, (when there were no jobs for us on the waterfront) it came from a crazy Polynesian who would burst into laughter everytime he said it. So we pakehas joined in the merriment. And it developed into a special explosive skill in the way it was pronounced - which would crack the islander up everytime.
Not telling you what it means. But for a (poetic) boat name it has a nice onomatopoeic ring to it?
But I won't be using it.

8 x 8 metre Sid when launched three years ago. The changes since then: shortened the curved float foils and fixed them down, added daggerboard to main hull (wasn't satisfied with earlier windward performance), added 500mm to stern finishing in a point (because formerly it left an annoying wake in light airs) - and that's about all.
Sid 650 (second photograph) will be much the same configuration except the main hull is a little wider, especially on deck, more depth and has a little more rocker - and will carry two crew whereas the 8.5 is a selfish single hander. Thought two would fit aboard but was wrong, too small, too mean.

Still think Sid's a natural beauty, can we expect, maybe perhaps possibly, a lengthy vid about her wonders any soon?
What extra sails does or can Sid carry if I may ask?
Sid 650 just doesn't sound right or do justice imho and deserves it's own name, but who am I?
Don't take chooky for a turkey

    Noice boike btw.

I was very keen to get a Gopro - but then was disappointed with results. So I don't carry it anymore. There are a few sequences on my Facebook page. Maybe should try again - but prefer still photography.
There is a beautiful North reaching sail I carry and have used a few times.
Maybe I should call the new foiler Flaming Afterburner Arrowfire? - (apologies to Doug).
Or how about Flash Harry the second?

Ha, forgot for a moment you were lazy didn't ya. Well lazy people come up with most logic solutions I recon.
It's your boat, you call the names…
Some boats, I guess, give away their true nature only after they've been sailed.

    Flash Gordon?

    Flash in the Pan?

    Kid Flash?

    Or how about 'Barry Allen'?

    [the Flash's alter ego]

No, no, no.... I've got it!

    The Green Flash.

[after the 'green flash' on the horizon as the sun sets. If you blink, you miss it. It's very fast.....]

Paint it white with a lime-green 'flash' stripe.

    :) :)

    Like Green Flash.
    And then there is Flasher?
Like that too, short, succinct, slightly humorous, slightly weird.

    Flash Mob?

Flashback? [ironic for a forward-looking design]

Flash Light? [it's going to be fast, and light....]

[shining a light on tri design....]

Now there's a "raison d'être" for you Gary..!!!

Flashlight as one word would be the way to go?
Green Flash is excellent though - just have to paint over the black, maybe some differing shades of green going from bow to stern.

    Your welcome!

I went with Flash Light so it was a play on Flash Harry
