CALM Buoy mooring chain

    Thanks TANSL, that is fine, I will take that on board. I had found out that the anchors stay in place. So I had an idea around simply releasing the chain stoppers on the buoy itself. I drew out the process (roughly) by hand and I'll attach it on here. Can anybody comment on the practicality and efficiency of the processes? Again, I have no experience in this sort of system, I have only learnt off ship design and construction up until this point, so any help is welcome. The file saves upside down so just rotate it to view properly.

    BTW the chain tensioning ratchet apparatus on the buoy is not opperational, which is why I drew using a workboat with a crane to do the tensioning as well

    Scratch that, I realized some practicality flaws in my plans and drawing, will be back with an updated version
