Good to see another happy Harley owner - they are beasts and require lots of care and feeding but are great boats when they are up on plane and rocking it!

Keep posting guys - summer is almost over and I will just be starting my season in sunny FL soon. too hot to do anything out there right now and still rehabbing a shoulder injury from a texting nucklehead hitting us on the bike last year.

Hatch seals worked out well. Ceiling is redone so now I need to take care of some bigger items...genny dropped a valve so shopping around for alternatives. Also looking to get an inch or two taken out of the props as the boat is underpowered. And finally, itching to do get the hull painted or wrapped - wife has ice cream store and might do something creative to promote the shop.

    Pointing side down guys.

We have the opposite up here in Michigan... Weather is starting to get cooler... Almost time for Winter storage. We were able to see 60 this year before some ignition issues..Getting them sorted out now.. Otherwise lovin the performance, ride, etc of this boat.. Although I am really suprised how many people that have seen the boat and ask if it is a CARY 50.. Well I will work on pics for ya..Cant seem to get mine to load on here but I will keep trying..

60mph? Wow - that is hauling azz with 454s. Are they stock units or magnums?
    Nice!

    Hello Harley Guys,

I haven't had the boat out much this year at all. I bought a building and property to open a new shop in April, totally consumed my time this summer. The doors were open on september 1st, hopefully that equates into a little boating time. The weather is starting to change. But that's not a problem for me. I enjoy getting out there rain or shine. The new trannys are working great. They take full throttle any time I want.
great to hear of a new Harley owner "after hours". Keep us posted with pictures and specs!

I got my ignition figured out I think...Bad springs for the advance weights... I was able to see 35 degrees of total timing now with my timing light.. Hoping when I take it out tommorrow that I will find that I have solved the issue and get back to running on top end near or over 60 again.. I have been considering doing 496 stroker or 572/632 big blocks for it.. Just have a few little issues that are on my list first...Steve H.. I am with you on using the boat as much as possible..rain, wind, dark of night really doesnt deter us either.. Have a GREAT WEEKEND.. I will let you guys know if she is fixed or not... LATER

Craziness was that I ended up burning up an exhaust hose on the test run so I really did not get a chance to really run it out like I wanted to...Getting close to putting it away but hoping for 1 or 2 more runs this year...I will let you know how it goes...

Also thinking of dumping the glass exhaust tubes I have under the dive platform - tired of scraping them and I dont think they add much value. Any thoughts Boys?

Most of you guys seem to have through-hulls under the dive platform with nothing on them...nice a easy to clean the transome. I have these 3-foot long fiberglass things with a flapper in them that look like caterpillars. all they do is gather crap and get in the way.

I have mufflers in the engine room - one per exhaust tube.

What do you think? Will I miss these things?

    Happy Thanksgiving BTW.

I have considered adding extensions or turn downs to eliminate the exhaust pulses from reverberating off the bottom of the live well. It is a factor for me when going about 8 to 10 mph at approx 2000 rpm. Very irritating.
