This is a lost wax investment casting factory in Dongying I manufactured some sample designs which has about 2000 workers.

The moving chain line with the waxes that are dipped several times in a shell like substance never stops and it takes 5 days for the chain to reach the metal to be poured into shells.

In this small city there are 50 lost wax investment casting factories which in NZ there is one very little primitive factory in Auckland that I remember was struggling and extremely bad service and rude with poor end product, I think AU has several small time lost waxes factories and would so they are expensive especially the mold tooling manufacturing.

This is a picture I took early this week of the CPM S35VN stainless steel I imported from the USA to make multi tools suited for the international marine market.
The other picture shows the first 5 Metperial multi tools I designed cut two days ago with a EDM wire cutter.
In NZ and AU if asked a trades man in the engineering field what is a EDM wire cutter, 99% of the time they replied they had no idea.
NZ and AU have not the skilled labor force or services needed to develop ideas and if find a service its a enormous cost that's out of reach for an inventor trying to develop an idea.
The EDM wire cutter if could find in NZ or AU would cost me 10 X more than what it cost for the same service in China.

Your dislike for NZ and AU is astounding, as well as your assumptions about electric discharge equipment in both countries. Just because you've not experienced the labor market in these places, enough to satisfy your needs, doesn't mean it's not there, just that you haven't found it yet. Given your general attitude, you'll likely not.

A quick google search brought up engineering shops all over aus that provide edm cutting services as well as edm equipment suppliers. I bet a nz search will get similar results.

Probably a good point to close this particular thread; a few comments on this last page which included sweeping generalizations about whole nationalities or races have been removed as that could get the forum into trouble.
