    Similarly, I pranked my supervisor by listing an occupational exposure limit for Hydrogen Hydroxide as 1.0 x 10^9 milligrams per cubic metre, extremely toxic - typically fatal in 5 minutes or less, filter type respirators not effective, must have self contained air supply.

    Its a scrogger: a 17th century instrument for cleaning skin crevices when you haven't bothered to take a bath for 3 or 4 weeks...

    It's an anti-kick back device for a radial arm saw.

    I can't see where it would do any good, though. You see an arrow showing which way the blade rotates and the only way it would kickback is the other way.

    In this illustration it would work correctly....

    I think you meant 'belle' as I've always had 'maison' as a feminine noun....;)

    Perfectly nice art nouveau architecture, looks pretty liveable in too.
