Search for Chris (kit) Arena

Hi, as I am new to this process I do not know where to start, but I am the current owner of a 1971 Dan Arena that I have restored and have some questions about model name for the year, and some other design features. at looking through some of the posts back in 2007 -08 I saw some conversations with Chris Arena and I would like to talk with him about my boat as I am sure he might remember the boat, can someone help me with this? This is timely for you. We just returned from our summer trip to Lake Shasta. We took our new to us, Dan Arena 21XL. Just picked it up this spring and I wanted top put some hours on it before deciding to do an expensive restoration. This little rig gets attention wherever I take it so that mush is not unusual. However, I see these guys on the dock with another Arena and they looked way too interested in mine. As luck would have it one of the guys was Dan Arena (Son of Kit Arena) and his friends out running their old boats. Dans very interested in hearing about other Arenas and helping folks out as he can.

We like the boat so much that we're going to move forward this fall with the project.

I had a new trailer built by SBT in Patterson. Works just great and it's a huge plus having a custom trailer mad for this old ride. The power is a 540 tall deck, very fresh and makes far more power than this boat needs. The v-drive is grossly under driven so I need to address that.

Plan is as follows;

Replace rotten floor.
Re-gear V-drive.
Remove bow fuel tank with 2 gunnel tanks.
Install turn fin.
Shorten prop shaft by 3" or so.
Install trim tabs.
New interior to original spec.
