Mercruiser Part ID Required

Hi all,
Can anyone please tell me what the round part with knobs on the inside is called.
It is all eaten away at the bottom.
I need to remove and replace it.

It a Mercruiser MC1

 

The official Merc name is gimbal bearing.
It is built from a standard ball bearing and an aluminum spherical sleeve allowing some radial adjustment. With seawater intrusion and no regular greasing the bottom suffers from corrosion.

it's not the gimbal bearing.
I have removed the bearing and have a new one to install.
The part I'm looking to ID is just behind the bearing towards the back of the boat.
It has knobs small knobs on the inside that I am thinking fit a tool for removal.

There's only three parts in that bearing bore, the seal, the bearing and the tolerance ring. The parts are listed in that order from front to back, so you need the tolerance ring. If you order (OEM 30-60794A4) you'll get both the bearing and the ring.

I think that's part of the gimbal housing itself, cast in the transom assembly. I don't believe that is a separate part.

 

That is the casting itself. If it is so corroded that the bellows can't attach to it any more, you need a new transom shield.
