Buc 24 test mule loaded ready to head to the new workshop. Amazing how quickly a workshop becomes too small when transitioning from 100% prototyping to approx 33/66% prototyping/ building. Next year the plan is to be 25% prototyping 50% building the rest getting the Ezifold team out on water testing this thing.:)

Designs and ideas about building a rotating support for the mast are welcome.

    a boat has been born

Wow, great progress! Can you describe your bow modifications? Re mast base: search google images for 'Corsair Marine mast base', basically an upright trailer ball. These have been described on the forum, and others are more qualified to expand.

No freddyj, it can not be towed. This, in particular, was born to never see the asphalt.:D.

Headharbor, this weekend I'll take a look at the sketches I made during the construction of the hulls. It's at the beach house where the boat was built.
First, I made a model of the first four feet of the bow of the central hull. This helped set the new design of the frame #1, wherein the front stay is fixed. This frame was extended slightly to follow broadsides which was increased in the waterline. The length in the forward deck was kept the same. Some small adjustments in the frame # 2 was also performed.

Great job igenova. Love the look of your beams. Interesting to see what a buc24 looks like with the vertical stem.

Thank you Nelson. The design of the beams was inspired by the Capricorn boat.

    Igenova.
I have been waiting for a long time for the finish of your B24, and I am not disappointed. You have done a great job. :D
I particularly like the way you have treated the controversial rear end.
I am not too keen on the flat front faces of your akas though. They will throw a lot of spray in rough conditions.

    Thank oldsailor.

I agree with you. Better that front had a smooth leading edge. It would be much more difficult to perform. Perhaps a solution would be adding this edge to crossbar. Could be built using half discs as frames covered with thin plywood and fiberglass.

I could not tell if the boom would be too low, never having seen one in person.

Perhaps try the below taking into account you could use different layup.
The cowling is a simple 200gram x 2 layer bd 0/90 carbon twill epoxy resin infused laminate.
The cowling is fitted into preformed 2mm vertical x 10mm fore/aft rebate to the leading edge of the top and bottom beam caps affixed with 316 5mm stainless button head hex socket machine screws tapped into solid epoxy plugs at 600mm centers bedded on a 4mm bead of 795 Dow corning adhesive. The stainless machine screws and epoxy plugs do not perforate the beam inner laminate. Ours are for a different design program so are sacrificial hence bond method
