Can someone recommend a good gel coat book or guide? I'm not coming up with many resources through internet searches. I'm not new to fiberglass but I am new to gel coats and I want to do a good job. I'm in the planning stages of creating a one-off, cold-molded power cruiser that will be glassed, and ideally gel-coated, no molds to speak of. My current thinking is to use Duratec in a spray gun, thinned down 1:1 with Duratec gelcoat thinner, as I saw on this thread. It's a topic that's mystified me for quite some time and I'd like to make sure I have the appropriate tools and technique, perhaps even experiment a bit before I go at it on my hull.

Thanks for any info you can provide.

    Gel coat spraying

For a guide on good gel coat spraying, try the CCT guides/manuals from ACMA (www.acmanet.org). They have a "Controlled Spraying" technique book available in their book store. I also remember CCP having a pretty decent materials guide, but I haven't seen one around for a while....
