New Battery

    Those are the specification from the manufacturer, not from me. I was also surprised. It could very well that they are sealed with a special escape, should pressure be too high. Who knows. Bert

    Come on,if they advertise a lack of Cl2 they legally have to back it up.

    IIRC from chem classes,noble metals reacting should knock a few neutrons or protons off.
    Or one of the calcium or sodium (thio) sulphates or sulphites should combine with Cl2...and perhaps once the CL2 is gone recombine to re produce an HCl form of the sodium.

    Or perhaps there is activated carbon caps to change out?

    I was discussing those batteries with a couple of the engineers at work today. They have studied them and all agreed the batteries are the same as the carbon/zinc. In other words, they are not rechargeable. Are those something different?

    That would defeat the purpose of using it for large solar installations and it is claimed 6000 - 7000 times be able to be recharged. Bert
