    The boat has nothing to do with Puget Sound itself. There seem to be one or more for sale in the UK, all state designed by Bill Dixon and built by Chung Hwa Brothers yard in Thailand. Asking prices seem a bit high but close to NA asking. The usual problems would be expected, worn out and leaky decks, leaky/rotten window frames, soft/wet core, old machinery, rusty tanks......

    Hmm.. nothing to do with Puget Sound OR trawling. Interesting choice of name.

    A friend of mine is considering buying one. Before surveying it I was wondering if they had known problems, besides the usual for their age.

    Ditto what Tad says.
    A friend wanted me to look at one years ago,the decks were so soft it was like walking on a lawn.....and I heard of one breaking apart on the slings during a haulout.

    But if they can show bills for repairs etc it may be worth looking at.

    There was a forum specific to Taiwan trawlers,google may tell you.
