Ok I keep reading forums and trying different things but I am still out of luck. I have forward gear and neutral but my reverse is just barely catching. I have set my shift cable at the 6" for forward and then I try to set the reverse but the adjustment slot is just a little off for me to line it up. Has anyone machined the slot to go just a little further or is there something else I am missing? It has a pre alpha out drive 898. Is there another adjustment I am missing. Any and all help is appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

Very frustrated right now. It was working great until I replaced the impeller and the housing. Darn preventive maintenance

Probably the shift arm is one slot over. It changes the neutral position.

So you are referring to the out drive install That I must of gotten off a spline when I installed it in place? I really appreciate the help
