Aluminum vs Carbon/Nomex!?

    TealTiger, I think that post # 39 is a good lesson on what it is to design a structure.
    Probably does not say what you wanted to hear, but things are as described therein.
    You have said, in this and another thread, to change the hull material means changing many other things and that, therefore, the comparison between the two hulls is not straightforward. The explanation for this is what AdHoc says in his post. Read it again with a more open mind and learn.
    Perhaps your challenge should be something like: how to make aluminum boat that meet the SOR a boat carbon fiber and weighs less?
