In Spain many people know what "hamburger" or "hot dog" means and I would not say, therefore, that the Spaniards speak English.
I've heard Gorge Bush Jr speaking spanish but never thought it was only thanks to the Mexicans.
In USA there are an awful lot of immigrants, not all open-minded, but I would not say they are all good attendence. In Europe there are a lot of immigration, and that does not mean that Europeans become better or that Arabic is spreading for that reason.

If you go to Los Angeles City, par example, you will speak spanish in the street and in everywhere. The open minded are the americans, as the british, to new cultures, you can see how the hindu traditions was adopted also with the 5 o'clock tea and so on. While I drinking mate in Spain some people did bad comments about.
In USA you have several tv channels in spanish including CNN, official translators, etc., also in other languages too. In Australia I did the drivers license test in spanish, and I had more than hundred idioms to choice.
In Europe they have a commom immigration law but each country applyes different policyes. I don't like to extend my comments because unintentionally political issues can be touched.

wavepropulsion, I have enjoyed this conversation. As much as we talk, things are as they are and not otherwise. The exception never proves the rule.

Agree on the meat consumption being bad to the environment.
I've read a number of articles on the matter.

Human’s numbers becoming vegetarian is rapidly growing by the day as the many alternative substances are expanding on shop shelves. https://www.google.com.au/search?q=...tbm=isch&q=vegategetarian meat alteranitives
This is the most powerful answer to save earth from humans as vegetarian diet brings a higher level of consideration, not only for our children but for mother earth and all things great and small.
The diseases caused from eating meat would stop in its tracks and free up hospitals and save billions and people live long healthy lives, meat eater’s hog the majority of the world food supply’s with most no consideration to millions of starving children they spare not even a thought let alone a dime.
The wars would stop which is the highest of all cost to humans and that money can be spent on good things instead of mass destruction.

Eating meat is the cause of aggression? Vegetarians become pacifists?
    I don't believe it.

Sorry your honor, but not guilty due to bad genes from my criminal parents.
Sorry your honor, not guilty because I ate a hamburger for lunch.
Sorry your honor, but I was provoked beyond endurance.
Sorry your honor, not guilty because it was a "bad hair" day.
Sorry your honor, but I got fired and unfortunately I took it out on the "unlucky" victim.

Is not what we eat but the production and consumption systems. Better to eat meat well produced than transgenics, and are not idealism in the needs of the human body. Tell to Inhuits to become vegetarians.

Here's another approach: economics. Now obviously this must be agenda-driven as a result of a dastardly conspiracy to destroy our freedom, but it seems that some economists are finding good arguments for skipping fossil fuels as much as possible.
