Hi everyone I'm new to this site, I've just purchased this old boat as a restoration project:) but I don't know the make or model so if anyone recognises this boat that would be great. All I know is that it's 22' long.
    Regards Richard

    Welcome to the forum.

The first place to look is the registration and/or title, which will have a year, make and model in most cases. Next a HIN number can be seen if she's built after 1973 on the starboard corner of the transom. The MIC prefix in the HIN will identify the builder.

Hi I've tried searching the local boat registration using the four number on the stern, but to no avail.
I've also inspected the whole of the transom for makers details, there been a bit of work in that area so thay must be covered over.
I contacted the man i purchased It from and he says "it's some type of dell quay"
I searched the internet, but nothing showed that matches the one I have.
    Thanks for the reply.
    Cheers everyone

It certainly appears to be a Dell Quay Dory hull, and they were built up to 22' long. The smaller ones, 11', 15', and 17' were a lot more popular.

Hi everyone I've found out the maker and model, it's a dell quay dolphin 22'. I could only find two pictures on the net, but no info about the boat so I'm still looking.
    Cheers everyone

    Not forgetting the 13'....;)

IMO better than RIBs' as safety boats inland and estuaries, and last much, much, longer.
