    I did a search for the F3, but was only able to find pictures, not video.

    Pretty neat. Why can't that be scaled up?

    Foilers

    =============
    Dr.Bradfields Osprey is closer to a scaled up F3 than the Rave or any other boat.

    Wow, that is some amazing video and in the comments section the video producer said they're working on plans for a production version. What a blast!

    Altitude Control: wand controlled foils vs UptiP foils

    Welcome to the forum! There are three cats(and one 18' tri), that I know of, now being sailed with various versions of a wand altitude control system:
    1) Whisper,
    2) Daro Valenza's experimental A Class Cat,
    3) Vampire, that uses canted foils and retracts the windward foil like the Flying Phantom and GC32 do.
    ----
    What will be very interesting is to race any of these wand based boats with the Phantom or Nacra foilers using UptiP foils. The C Class "Off yer Rocker" used wands and was not fast compared to seahugging C Class boat so a race will tell us all a lot.

    Thanks for the welcome Doug. My wife and I've been multihull sailors since '83 and speed on the water has always been fun for us. We've been sans boat since '07 when we sold our F-31 UC but are considering how we would get back into it.
